The scammer posed as a representative of Booking.com when the client was attempting to cancel a booking made through Booking.com. The scammer (Ivan Thompson) stated that he would need to need to charge a credit card a fee of $895.99 for a cancellation, in order to change a reservation. The scammer told the client that the client would recive a voucher of $500 and a full refund of the booking. The scammer charged the card the amount stated before and this was reported to Booking.com. This person does not work for Booking.com and was confirmed with upper management.
