A deceased family member was mailed a cheque from Home Serve USA Corp in the amount of .06 cents (yes that is the correct amount on the cheque). Being unfamiliar with this company, I googled it and apparently it's a scam. according to posts on the internet. Seniors seem to be the target. When the person cashes the cheque, this fraudulent company then has access to the person's bank account information and can then siphon out funds. I don't know if this really is a scam, but I will not be depositing this cheque for the family member and wanted to let BBC know of this company in case it really is a scam.
