I received a message from instagram account @jen.jen.v soliciting donations for a charity called Homeless Black Trans Women Fund, the same name as a very large and successful GoFundMe campaign. The website lists a tax id number associated with an LLC based out of Florida, Bene Solutions, LLC. Bene Solutions, LLC (tax ID number: 37-1911484) was voluntarily dissolved in August of 2020, and the listed reason was that an imposter opened a fictitious account and started a fundraising scam (available here: http://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/corporationsearch/SearchResultDetail?inquirytyp...⇄ ). I donated to the fictitious charity via cashapp. I have donated to several charities as well as personal fundraisers supporting trans people in the past. Homeless Black Trans Women Fund, however, is a scam, as stated by the voluntary dissolution report. I have attached photos of the first messages soliciting money. Later messages from the account were deleted by the account.
