I called the number on the mailing to get the company name. They’re making homeowners feel like they’re in danger with their lender due to the “FINAL NOTICE: IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUIRED!” Nowhere does it show the company name, address, or email. It’s a total SCAM AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

They got my mortgage lender name, my home address, and ask me to call immediately within 7 days. But it said it is not affiliated with my lender. Also, there is a phone number for spanish speaking people 888-347-5660

- Seattle, WA, USA • Feb 11, 2026

Official looking letter with enough personal information that I could almost believe it was from my bank. Insisting I call a number immediately

They were posing as a home warranty company and have been sending us multiple pieces of mail saying our coverage was going to be void if we didn’t contact them. I work 1st shift, so I haven’t been able to verify if this is true or not through our bank as I’m sleeping while they’re operating. I called the number and provide basic information and was given the coverage, etc. They started asking for card information and I started to give it to them, then realized that if it was the bank we had our loan through, they’d have our card on file. So, I hung up before I was able to give them the security code. The guy said his name was either James or John, and you could tell it was pre-recorded statements as well, but I didn’t think anything of it as I’ve been up all night and am ready to go to bed now!

I received a letter stating it was a final notice that my propertys home warrenty was expired. They listed the bank i have my mortgate with and my home address. I had recently received a letter from my bank about home owners insurance so I though there was an issue with that. I emailed my bank directly and they said it was not from them.

Said Warranty secured by American Advisors Group may be expiring or may have already expired..Letter contained property information and I should call immediatly. Explained policy coverage and that home warranty was needed to stay in compliance with mortgage lender's requirements. Unfortunately and stupiedly I fell for it and lost $495.00.

Final Notice, Immediate response needed. "Failure to call us by the expiration date of August 13, 2025, may result in lapse of coverage. This was referencing my homeowner's insurance. They knew my mortgage company and my address. A property code was provided. When I called the number, something didn't feel right so I asked who I was speaking to and where they were from. They hung up immediately. Thankfully, I googled their telephone number and found ScamPulse.com information on this scam.

I bought a house about two months ago and received a letter regarding activating a home warranty in the mail. Upon first glance, it seemed legitimate. It's signed at the end by Vicky Mercer, and it provides her title as Program Director. It provides a Customer ID number and expiration date, hours of operation, and a phone number. They knew the lender with whom I purchased my house, the correct spelling of my full name, and my correct home address. When you look closer, you see the language in the letter is a little off, there is no return address, and there is no name of the company listed.

Got a letter from my "New American Funding" which is my morgage broker. It stated that my Warranty (which in reality is through a separate company) was expiring and I needed call their number to reinstate or risk a lapse and I'd be liable for all fees associated. The first letter stated it was a "Final Notice." No email, website or return address given.

- Hollywood, FL, USA

“Time Sensitive” letter received in mail stating that property’s home warranty secured by FANNIE MAE MORTGAGE is expiring and need to call to prevent lapse in coverage. Letter has a phone number to call, a customer ID, and “Home Protection Division” listed at the top of the letter. There is no website or email address listed.

- Tiverton, RI, USA

The scam was to renew home protection coverage. This is not something i ever had. The bank name, supposedly holding the mortgage I assume, was not one on which the mortgage ever was in my name. My concern is thst they have my contact information and the name of a bank that held the mortgage under my husband.

- Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Scammer sent postal mail about a "warranty replacement notice". The scam company did not list any specific company name or website on the mail.

- Miami, FL, USA

The letter I received indicated Final Notice and asked me to call to renew my home's warranty immediately. There is no company name, email address or website on the letter. The only identifying information is the name Corey Carleson, Program Director. When I called and pressed for information, the person hung up on me. I believe this is a scam because I never had a home warranty, only homeowners insurance. The letter does show my name and home address.

I'd just like to be sure that, if this is a scam, it's stopped so that other people who are targeted don't lose money. I can send a copy of the letter to you if necessary. Thank you very much.
