Got a cold call to check my fireplace. I asked where the company was located as I prefer dealing with local businesses. The girl said "Fairfield". I looked up Home Solutions online and found they were located in Stamford. The correct answer to my question should have been, "We are located in Stamford but we COME to Fairfield." Now I'm suspicious. with this first lie. Is this a company that's going to climb up on my roof, pretending to do work and not doing it, but charging a fee? I called a couple of days later and spoke to a man, asking for clarification. "Is the $75 fee to inspect the fireplace or to clean it too?" I was assured that the $75. charge was for both. Today a worker from this company was at the door, as scheduled, to do the job. He asked me if he was here to check the fireplace or the furnace. I told him it was the fireplace. He said, "OK, that will be $200.00." I said I was quoted $75.00. He replied that he keeps telling the office to stop misquoting the price. "Well", he said, I could do both for $225.00." (This would be a savings of $50.00. Fireplace = $75 and furnace = $200.) He said he could just LOOK at my fireplace today at no charge. No doubt he would say it needed IMMEDIATE cleaning, and since he was here already........ I told him I didn't appreciate the "bait and switch" tactic the company used. I told him to tell the company that they lost a customer because of that!

This number has shown up on my cell phone multiple times. I called it back from my work phone and after calling it twice, they finally answered. They stated it was a home soluctions company. I told them to take my phone number off their list and was hung up on. They are now calling back on my work number. When i talked to them i did not give them a chance to try to get me to buy something.

Received a phone call from "Home Solutions" . This is an office and they insisted a certain party lived there and I confirmed they did not and then he began to yell. Accent too. Why do they think yelling is going to intimidate you? So I am reporting this as a scam as any United States company doesn't use screaming tactics and it is illegal to solicit offices.
