During last winters snow storms we ended up with a ice dam to our roof that caused leaking into our home. After some searching to find a company that could remove the ice dam by steam we found Residential Roofing and Masonry out of Toronto. They arrived next day to review the problems we were having. On inspection of the area where the ice dam was and the roof was leaking it was found that there was no ice shield under the shingles. A price was agreed to repair the area. Further inspection was made of the main roof and many of the shingles were found to be cracked and loose. A price was agreed to remove the shingles on the main roof and re-shingle. On removing the shingles on the main roof it was found that the decking was in poor condition and had to be replaced. Three other old layers of old roofing was found and would have to be removed. A price was agreed and work started and continued over the next 5 ~ 6 days removing old roofing, installing a new plywood deck, membrane. ice shield, flashing and shingles.

At time of agreed work it was agreed we would get a contract, finial inspection report and photos of work carried out. The roof was completed and has since proven to be water tight. What is missing is the final inspection report. and photos of work carried out. After contacting Residential Roofing and Masonry by email, web site and phone for promised documentation their email, web site and phone is no longer active. So any warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. We feel we paid good money for the service but did not get all that was promised. This has been going on since February 2025
