Type of a scam Home Improvement
On Nov 1st, my dryers stopped heating. Researched led me to believe the website was legit. Alex replied immediately upon my call. He came the same day.. He opened the dryer and said it needed a new heating unit. Came the next day ...did a fast and shoddy work. I asked if he could clean the drum area while the machine was open...He replied. angrily 'i dont do that'.. He did not even attached the exhaust tube properly, when I tried to run it. He asked for 350$ cash and he would email me receipt and warranty which he claims on his website ( "if it doesnt work, You dont pay!")
The very next day the dryer stopped working. Multiple calls and texts to Alex to come and fix it or refund the money were ignored. Although he was warned that he would be reported, to this day, he refuses to return and fix the problem.
After the incident, I started to investigate finding out that many others were victims of same pattern, $350+ for services not rendered.
