Black tree service contacted me on Friday March 3rd, 2023 if i was interested in purchasing two saw logs, both black walnut species. Black Tree services (owner is Jesse Black) wanted 500$ and a trailer of assorted pine boards valued at around 500$ in trade for a total of 1000$ for these two saw logs. I have text messages with dates supporting all this. Jesse stated he would load my trailer with these logs as part of the deal, and told me he would plan a day to do that. Jesse wasn't able to load these logs until he texted me on may 11, 2023 to come that evening to pick up the logs after 730pm. I texted Jesse before I left in which he responded with his address again, so he knew i was coming. Upon arriving no one was there, there was beer bottles (full and partially drank) scattered everywhere. I contacted Blacks tree service multiple times in which no response was heard, so after 90 minutes of waiting I left. Blacks tree service reached me the following day, blaming their girlfriend for the reason they did not show up to load my trailer with the logs. At this point, I requested my money back as they could not fulfil they part of the deal and was acting shady. They agreed to refund my money completely (texts to support this claim). After not receiving the money in a two week period I then contacted them again for the refund, which they responded with okay and a thumbs-up emoji. Another two weeks passed and no money was received, at this point writer was being completely ignored by blacks tree service. After weeks of no contact, they respond with "sorry we don't do refunds" when they could not fulfil there part of the deal. They then turned hostile and begun threatening me. I was being told to "come see me big guy, ill be around the farm an day this week". "ill show you what a man does". Then Blacks tree service was asking for my address, which i refused to provide and if they were going to mail a check I would happily pick it up in person. This was ignored. I then called on June 26th, where a worker for blacks tree service answered. it was a different voice and they refused to give their name but stated they weren't jesse. They then emphasized and stated they would resolve the problem and write a check to me for the amount own as they have access to the business account. i said if they paid me for the logs (500$) i would settle for that and forget about the pine boards. They agreed and asked for my address to deliver a cheque. again I insisted that I pick it up, but they refused. Upon giving them my address on the phone, i got a text message after hanging up on the phone from them stating " i got your address now ill come show you what a man looks like". The owner of black tree services refuses to talk to me besides threats and will not return the money owed to me. I'm beyond frustrated and unsure what to do with this situation. I do have records of all conversations with dates and would happily share them if needed. Im certain they will continue this behavior as they show no remorse and only escalate in threats.
