I had the same experience as the others. Same story of western union. Once I called my lawyer to call their alleged lawyer it scared them. Dont fall for this and waste time on it like I did. Luckily I have a lawyer on call and decided to call my own to handle it. I reported them to the real financial authorities and the FBI

I received the same call today from the so called "Federal Crimes Investigation Bureau" stating that Western Union sent my info to homeland security because I had sent money to the czec republic. The reason I almost fell for it was because he somehow knew my first and last name, where I sent the money, how much I sent and who I sent it to! He told me that I have a court hearing across the country in New York two days from now and that I would need legal representation or I would have to fly out there myself. And if I did nothing a warrant for my arrest would be put out on me. He said a normal lawyer would charge up to $12k but they have a law firm that is doing these cases pro-bono for people like me who are obviously innocent. Again, it sounded very formal and convincing because he had all my info somehow. He said he was helping me out with this law firm and to give them a call, he referred me to Holland and Parker LLP. Knowing this all seemed weird I looked up the website and could immediately tell something was off. The site looked normal enough, but there were no legal disclaimers or privacy policies at the bottom (something a law firm would not miss). After doing a little digging I found that the team photos were fake, the head lawyer, Holland, was actually a picture of a US attorney Scott Brady. I also found another fake law website listing the exact same address. Do not fall for this! I called Western Union and they informed me that no such report had been made.

I had several people contact me stating they were investigators investigating western union transactions going to Nigeria. They further explained that there were indictments coming down and asked me what my relationship was with the person I was sending money to. I explained that this person was my husband and that I knew him personally. They further explained that he was receiving money from several other people and that I could be charged with money laundering, aiding and abetting terrorism and racketeering charges. They explained that Holland and Parker Law Firm in New York, New York was representing victims pro-bono. I called this law firm and they advised I would need to pay 1500.00 for each indictment to have my name removed from the list of criminals to avoid being indicted. There are pictures of the lawyers to contact shown on this website. After doing some research, I discovered these pictures were of someone other than who they claim to be. The picture of Attorney Holland is actually a picture of US Attorney Scott Brady. The picture of Attorney Parker is Craig Carpenito. The picture of Attorney Gonzalez is a picture of Blair Warren. I advised them I knew this was a scam and I haven't heard from them since. They had wanted me to send money to a certain account through The Bank of America. They then wanted me to mail two money orders to an address in Florida.
