The account department will prepare your start-up check and make it available to you. Your start-up funds are for setting up your home office (purchase of equipment and all needed software), and your pre-training task bonus is also included on your start-up check. Previously, the company made the purchase of the materials for our employees but due to logistics issues and repeated errors that has been happening on the receipts of purchase from the vendor, it was decided that all newly hired employees make the purchase of the materials from the company's accredited vendors while the company provides the funds that would be used for the purchase. If you are able to work for the company for a period of 12-16 weeks, the materials automatically become yours and your name has to be on the receipt of purchase to show that you made the order from the vendor.
Note: Upon signing of this contract with the company, you are bound by LAW to not destroy any of the company's property i.e. Equipment sent and delivered to you for your work or Check sent to you for payment. 4. Take a picture of the front and back of the check, making sure that all of its sides are visible.
5. Submit.
6. When you're done, you need to send me the Confirmation of Deposit by email so that the accounting department can look it over. Many thanks!

Before I even receiving this email, I did some digging and found out it was a scam, so I stopped communication.

After I received this, I called SIMS Luxury Builders in Texas and they said they received other calls regarding this as well. They said they don't even have an HR dept.
