It was on either jobs to careers or LinkedIn or possibly indeed where I unfortunately fell into the trap of applying to what I thought was a staffing agency. After doing some digging, I finally found a Reddit conversation with a number of other people claiming the same thing happen to them and that it is just a scam. I went through the whole process just so I could gather all the information I could and yes, it is basically what initially looks to be a fully remote, staffing agency that reaches out to you via text message almost immediately, no matter what time of day or night, as well as email, saying that you meet the qualifications and they would like to have you hop on a webinar of 15 to 20 minutes that will basically explain compensation and the position... It makes you schedule the time even though it is obviously a pre-recorded video made by a con artist in a shiny suit and nice hair behind a very expensive desk in a very expensive looking office, so I went ahead and scheduled 9:00 a.m. and proceeded to click the link and join the fake webinar trying look like an actual real-time webinar with real-time comments which it was definitely not as also said by all of the other people on this Reddit conversation.. claims that this so-called Mr Russin made about the company were downright all lies. He claims that you will be making 65 to 85,000 a year depending on how hard you work, that the company is recession proof, oh and that the company's actual name was changed way back then to globe Life which I am pretty sure is an actual legitimate company if I am not mistaken that they are pretending to be, he claimed that their biggest investor is Warren buffett, he claimed that they are the Dallas cowboys company, whatever that means, and it made me wonder if it were a somehow legal pyramid scheme like you have seen before that get around the illegality of it somehow, such as world ventures, or simply just the downright complete scam by a con artist or con group I initially thought it was. It is definitely just a scam and a con artist group. The concerns me that the person has so many followers or likes or endorsements or what have you, this Zach LeHouiller, as well as a real Facebook page or seemingly real with a seemingly real looking history. Perhaps he is just that dumb and that is really him and he is just asking to get caught. Anyways, he states that if we do not submit the after the webinar questionnaire survey thing that is provided on the webinar after the video closes, we will not be contacted again so make sure to not forget to do that before exiting out of the window. Not to my surprise, after I exited out of the window without doing the after the webinar survey, which asked if I would be willing to pay for a small licensing fee in order to sell benefits packages that I could obtain from of course them, I received another email from the same higher standard staffing email pushing me to not forget to fill that thing out. Word on the Reddit street is there are a couple different names that this scam swarms around but mostly this Zach and Mr Russin and apparently some John, who will tell you that the position you applied for was filled but he can recommend you to some other recruiter who has a great open spot for you. To which you will then be thrown into this scam. Please catch these people. Please disable their LinkedIn and their Facebook and whatever all is fake it's crazy how many seemingly credible looking things they have stacked up. Although, after all is said and done, I should have caught it immediately. I really did but I just was so hopeful. Oh well. Good luck. And, as I am just about to send in this report my phone starts going crazy. I have a Samsung ultra, like the best phone there is that never does this type of stuff and, I used to work at a cell phone store Verizon and yeah I'm stupid, I probably allowed them and to my phone when I logged on to the stupid webinar trying to get more information for other people and for you.
