Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

They called us long time ago offering to send a sample of printer cartridge to earn our business in future. Our former manager told them that we already order cartridges in bulk elsewhere but if there is no charge for sample then they can send it to us.

Today 11/30 they sent us an invoice for $231.99 for that sample. Tried threatening us with collectors etc.

We have never authorized a purchase, never sent them any card information, never signed any document. never agreed on phone to return/pay for that sample. A lot of companies send us free samples for us to try and we have never encountered such blackmailing.

For one, no black cartridge cost $230 and for second this company doesn't have a website even, they just scam people through phone.

We want to bring awareness of such con artists and cancel that invoice.

One of our employee's at our store was called by "High Tech Supplies." The company claimed to be responsible for sending replacement ink cartridges and asked if we received one. Our employee said no and gave her information to send one. The store received a cartridge, but it is clearly fraud, the box is not an hp one. We checked the barcodes and it is not legit.
