I was working on my computer when a screen appeared. It said call this number immediately because my computer had been compromised, info like email, credit card, etc. It said NOT to close the screen or my computer would be disabled to 'avoid contamination to their system'. I called the number and they wanted $145, remote access to my computer to 'fix' things, surely I had a Trojan horse virus. They said they represented Microsoft. I called my sister and she said it was a scam. I ran a systems check with my Norton Antivirus and nothing terrible showed up. This alert scared me a LOT. I almost fell for it. How many other people ARE falling for it, I wonder. It is a hard-sell hi-tech scam. Can you do anything about it, please? Thank you, mjy
