I am writing this review to warn others about my negative experience with HFA Consulting LLC,
which falsely
promises "hands-free" vacation rental automation but instead operates under unfair contract terms
and
deceptive business practices.
1. Misleading Promises & Lack of Transparency
HFA Consulting LLC presents itself as an automated vacation rental service that helps clients
maximize profits
by managing and marketing Airbnb and VRBO listings. However, the reality is far from what they
promise:
- They claim to handle listing management, automate processes, and ensure profitability, but their
contract
contains no guarantees of success.
- If your account is suspended or Airbnb changes policies, they take no responsibility and refuse
refunds.
- They offer a "pivot" to Shopify or Amazon automation instead of a refund, which is not what was
originally
agreed upon.
2. Unfair & Potentially Unenforceable Contract Terms
The contract is extremely one-sided and designed to trap clients into paying with little recourse:
- Non-Disparagement Clause: You cannot leave a bad review or complain publicly. If you do, they
threaten
a $1 million penalty, which is excessive and likely illegal.
- Arbitration Clause: They force all disputes into private arbitration in Miami, FL, making it impossible
to file
a lawsuit.
- No Refund Policy: Unless you meet strict conditions, you are stuck with the service for two years
with no
way to get your money back.
- Exclusive Agreement: You cannot hire another automation service while working with them.
3. Lack of Support & Poor Business Ethics
- They stop providing services if you miss a payment, even for minor delays.
- Customer service is unresponsive, and their promises to "assist" when issues arise are not
honored.
- If you request a refund or dispute a charge, they hide behind their restrictive contract to avoid
responsibility.
4. My Recommendation: Avoid HFA Consulting LLC!
If you're considering working with HFA Consulting LLC, I strongly urge you to think twice. They use
high-pressure sales tactics and legally questionable clauses to lock clients into an unfair agreement.
Steps to Protect Yourself:
Do NOT sign any contracts with them before having an attorney review the terms.
File complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and
Florida
Attorney General.
Dispute charges with your bank or credit card company if you were misled.
Warn others by sharing this review on Airbnb/Vacation Rental forums, Reddit, and Facebook
groups.
