I got a covid test in August 2021 at CVS and received a bill in June of 2023 for it. I told them to bill my insurer and I just received a denial because they waited too long to submit the bill. Not my problem. They screwed up with sloppy practices.

I had to get a Covid Test back on April, I went to CVS to get. The date was April 4, 2021, I just received a bill for o 11/13/21, ...seven months later. I called the company to get information on WHY I am getting a bill for a Covid Test, I thought by now they are free. I talked to the gentleman at this company and checked my account number, he came back and told me that there was no test filed.

I then called CVS and told them what just happened and the person there asked someone about it and she got back on the phone and told me that it sounds like a scam.

I did bring this company up on ScamPulse.com and they were not even accredited.

So I am not sure if anyone has reported this but I wanted to make someone aware of what is going on.

Something similar happened to me. I have United healthcare and CVS is their preferred pharmacy. I went to CVS for a Covid test, and was not charged for it. But then I got a random invoice for $100 from Helix Opco for this Covid test. I’m assuming CVS sent it out to this random third-party lab, which is out of network for my insurance. I’m going to call CVS corporate and Helix about this. I shouldn’t t have to pay $100 because CVS sent my Covid test to a random lab.

I got a request for payment saying I used their services without insurance information on file. They wanted me to fill out my information on the back to send the bill to my insurance company. I could also call them to pay online or over the phone if I didn't have insurance. If I don't provide them with insurance information it says it's my responsibility.
