We sat through a presentation tonight in Ann Arbor from Heartland Vacations, who state they book vacations at wholesale prices through their website; timeshare rentals that have not been booked they are able to access and book at reduced prices. Tonights deal was $3995 if you gave them your credit card tonight, otherwise it was a $7,000+ deal if you didn't do it tonight. If you use your own credit card tonight, you will get $300 off, but they can set up a payment plan for you. We Googled and couldn't find anything on that name, although the presentation states they are ScamPulse.com accredited with the ScamPulse.com logo. There also is no logo on any of the stationary or contracts they use. Only computer generated paperwork. They said they ran out of business cards so cant offer those either. They said they will have an office soon in Howell at the Tanger outlet center, and that's when the price increases since overhead will also. The bait was 4 tickets to a list of amusement parks with a hotel stay for 2 nights, and $25 gift card. They gave us the paperwork and $25, cause they were out of gift cards. But the paperwork for the amusement park info is through Casablanca express in Woodland Hills CA. (Casablanca express PO Box 4399 Woodland Hills, CA 91365-4399) It states to get your free tickets, just mail them $50 to this address, then they will send you the tickets. Then to get the hotel info, mail $60 (cash, check or money order only) to the address they send and they will send you that information. Nothing is by credit card, so not even sure the Casablanca is real. Found conflicting info on websites like Tripadvisor, and scam reports. They claimed they owned Heartland Woods Family Resort (camping) in Stockbridge MI so they were branching out into condo bookings etc. and are listed and registered with the State of MI, which we could not find anything on them. We told them we didn't bring a credit card with us, so they would call us in an hour to get the info and gave us all the paperwork, but we haven't heard anything and that was many hours ago. Just sounds fishy.
