Type of a scam Debt Collections

Nancy Cohen has been calling me to collect debt on “old bank acct bad debt” with Wachovia owned now by Wells Fargo. I was threatened with being sued, credit report for not collecting $1073.59. I demanded a validation letter of debt. In meantime talked to bank and 11 years ago this account had no problem and account was closed. So when I call the number back and ask for Nancy Cohen they say they will take message and she will call you back. She did and I did not tell her I knew it was a scam but played along and she actually sent me a letter with letterhead, which has my social, old acct number and collection amount. I am waiting to contact this woman tomorrow to threaten back that I called the Dover Police, although they said they can’t do anything but give advice to ignore?. If you research google the name it’s a scam and people have paid them!!! This needs to be stopped so no more victims fall for these thieves!
