I’m writing this email to relay the UNBELIEVABLE events that transpired with my recent delivery.
I place an order with scout & nimble (an online company) and was informed on April 19 that my order was delivered to their warehouse in Lubbock and hackbarth would be calling me to schedule a delivery. I didn’t heard from anyone so I called S&N on 04/24 and was informed that my order was delivered to someone who illegally claimed the item was hers. Clearly upset, I called hackbarths 1800 number was given the number for the Lubbock warehouse. I have spoken to Katie and Kelly multiple times over the past 2 days and while they have apologized for the “inconvenience” of having something I paid for stolen, they have not done anything to rectify the situation. Both Kelly and Katie told me my item was claimed by a woman named Katherine who w[censored]ding my item hostage. I have called the warehouse over 10 times in the past 2 days. No one has updated me on the situation. I get different answers about what’s happening from both of these women.
I’ve been told everything from “the lady who took your bench is out of town” to “she’s at work so we can’t retrieve the bench”.
1. The item was delivered to the wrong person and hackbarth was made aware of this on 04/24 and did nothing.
2. I was lied to about who this person was. Katie and Kelly called the person Katherine while the driver told me her name was Susan Smith.
3. Kelly and Katie said the item was open and sitting in this person’s home (specifically her kitchen table) while the driver stated it had never been opened.
4. Katie asked for my address TODAY. The day of the delivery. The fact that the company didn’t have my address points to why some random woman was allowed to claim my purchase as her own.
5. After informing Kelly on 04/25 that I would be home at 12 today.... my item was not delivered until 18:10
6. I’ve asked Kelly multiple times to get the authorities involved because what this person did was illegal. She said she followed protocol. When this person wasn’t home for the driver to pick up the item, Kelly sympathized with her. I left work early just to receive this delivery today.
I’m completely and utterly shocked at the way your company has handled this situation. Other than apologies and false promises no initiative was taken to correct this mistake. I was the driving force behind each and every call. I’m
happy to provide my telephone logs to show that I called into the warehouse and didn’t receive a call back ONCE.
