We found the property that we wanted to rent on Airbnb and the booking host, Angela, stated that in the summer months, they book their property solely through their management company, Granite State Collection, LLC. I was informed to go to their website, www.granitestatecollection.com if we were interested in booking during the summer. We selected the dates through their website and put down the deposit for those dates. We then saw that they had other properties and wanted to switch to their 14 bedroom ranch in Richmond, Kentucky. I called the management company and asked if we could switch. The dates were available so they allowed us to switch and pay the remaining balance. I received a booking confirmation with payment receipt. A week out from our arrival date, we had not heard anything from them so I reached out several times by phone then by email and got no response. I just received an email that stated that our booking was cancelled because they are no longer able to host our stay. Also, "IMPORTANT DETAILS:

As we no longer represent the credit card processor that you used for payment of this booking, please dispute the charge made for the reservation with your credit card company as "merchant unable to fulfill service" or similar dispute reason.
Your credit card issuer should provide you with a full credit and refund and then handle the refund directly with us after you are fully reimbursed.
If your issuer does not provide this initial subrogation full refund, please reach back out to us so we may connect you with our Specialty Services Team for additional refund solutions.

Beware of this company. I have also read that they are affiliated with Farm LLC that went bankrupt.

I initially found and attempted to rent property via Airbnb. A representative named Angela messaged me back and asked that I book instead via their website. I was hesitant at first, but saw several reviews that made the property and company appear legitimate. Months later, when I followed up to get additional information, I was told "this Estate is no longer in our Collection because the Homeowner Association required its closure," and "as we no longer represent the credit card processor that you used for payment of this booking, please dispute the charge made for the reservation with your credit card company".
