Messenger Grant scam

I received messenger message from a frit of mine. The picture was her profile picture and I thought it was her. After small talk she asked if I had ever heard of this Gradient Grant Community Outreach Program. She explained it was a grant that is offered for those who need help paying bills, buying a home or starting a business. She said that she applied and was granted $30,000. She was very convincing and said I should give it a shot. She provided a link. The link was to a Attorney Thompson Patrick and showed a Facebook profile.
I gave some information and after a while was approved. Then I had to choose amount and pay a fee. It seemed reasonable. I fell for it because all along my friend I thought was telling me it was legit and to trust it. I didn't realize it was a hacked account until after. They kept trying to get more and more money and sent a code. Anyways lesson learned. Zelle payment can't be cancelled.

Another messenger hack!

I just received a message from someone I haven't talked to since middle school bot we are FB friends. The were asking if I was aware of the Gradient Grant Community Outreach Support Program. I immediately searched the topic and realized its a scam. I stated that to the person and the never responded. I gave them NO info at all. Am I safe from this scam?

Hey, I got the same FB message. I suspected scam. I think you’ll want to put an alert on your credit reporting agencies since you shared your DL. They might try to apply for a credit card with your name.

Received Facebook Messenger message from a family member who asked how I was doing, and then after my response they sent me this message “ Sorry to hear that, wish you quick recovery. Good to hear from you I'm doing pretty good blessed can’t complain. Don't know if you have heard about the good news from the Gradient Grant Community Outreach Supports Program”. I googled the Program and saw some hits about it being a possible scam. I never wrote back nor did I call or contact the program.

I was sent a message through messenger from one of my friends so I thought. They explained to me that there was a Government Grant that offers people access to grants that they do not have to pay back. I thought this is too good to be true. So I sent a message back to the friend to see if it was real. I received numerous messages back and forth from this person who I thought I knew. They asked for personal information. Name, Address, Where you work, how much you make, do you own a car own a house as well as a copy of drivers license. What will you use the grant for. Once they asked me to pick and choose a amount of money I wanted I realized this is too good to be true.. I finally got a hold of the friend who I thought I had been talking to all along and she advised she had no idea what I was talking about...Not sure what they can accomplish from this - not sure what information they can get off my drivers license. I called my banks and cancelled all my cards and put a hold on my accounts. Have since blocked the person as well. I also did a total shut down of my phone from where this all originated from.. Is there anything else I can do....Can not believe I fell for this...

Persons name is ****** *****. I tried to copy the messages but it would not let me. The below is the only message from here that it would allow me to paste. This has all just happened within the past 2 hours- not sure if I have lost money or not. I hope not. They so have a picture of the front and back of my drivers license.
