Report

I was contacted by someone who identified himself as Sgt Williams with the Rutherford County Jail in North Carolina, from phone number 407-789-3488 on 10/23/2026 at approximately 6:15 pm. He called me by first and last name and said that they may have a loved one that needed confirmation. He asked if I knew someone by the name of ******** **********, I advised him that I did not. After the call, I called back to see if it was possible that they got the name of the individual wrong. I inquired about how he received my phone number and he said that he also had my address. I asked for the address to the jail to which he said he wouldn't be giving unless I was agreeing to pick up this person. I told him that what I was asking for was public knowledge and he hung up.
