It’s a third-party solicitation designed to look like an official Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) notice. The mailer pushes you to pay $135 to “Next Step Filings” to handle a “2026 – Annual Registration” for a Virginia LLC—using bold deadlines (“FIRST NOTICE,” “Please Respond By 02/20/2026,” “Due Date 02/28/2026”) and statutory citations to make it feel mandatory and urgent.

Quoting Code §?13.1-1050/1062 next to marketing claims—real statutes, but used to lend an official aura to a private solicitation.

It mimics a government form and uses official-sounding language.

Phrases like “Virginia Working for You,” “Document Number,” “FIRST NOTICE,” and full-page “avoid penalties” banners.
