This phone number claims to be for [email protected]. The person claimed to be a Delta agent, changed my ticket for the correct price difference per Delta), and then tacked on a 125% "airline tix" charge as a separate Visa charge. They also demanded a copy of my passport, saying it was a Delta requirement for flying the next day (Delta already had my passport). They claim to have a recording of me authorizing such a fee which obviously no one would do and then claimed that had I called them instead of Visa, they would have given a refund. Visa is on the case.

I was trying to buy a round-trip ticket. The scammer told me the ticket was USD 697.98, which would be split into two transactions 457.45 USD and 240.53 USD. When I checked my bank transactions after talking to him, there was 492.32 charged to united.com, 482.45 charged to united.com, and 240.53 charged to globalfligtservices.

I tried to reach out to the scammer via the number given by email +1 (866) 509-1404, and they told me the person I was talking to earlier would not be in until the following day, but the voice sounded similar to the first one I talked to.

I checked the confirmation numbers they had sent me. The first one did not have the dates or destination I needed, so it was canceled, the existing one had contact information that did not belong to me. The email address was not correct even though tickets were sent to me. I realized something fishy was going on, so I canceled the tickets.

When going to cancel I realized tickets price was $492.32 one of the charges on my credit card.

So $492. bought my tickets and $240 was stolen.

I emailed him asking for an explanation why I was charged $240, but I did not get a response.

When trying to make sense of the charges, I called this number (800) 684-8331, it was the same guy again, so I hung up. He called me back almost immediately using +1 (312) 238-9969, the only number that seems to be registered. He told me to call 1 (800) 241-6522 with regards to my questions. I looked up flightreservationhelpdesk.com because the scammer emailed me from this address: [email protected]. I got the number +1 (877) 804-0909 from the website https://flightreservationsdesk.com/home. When I talked to the person, they sounded so much like the first one, they also knew he had sent me an email with a number to call. I asked him how he knew about the email. He said it was their policy, and when I asked too many questions they told me to call 1 (800) 241-6522 as well.

This scammer does buy tickets but keeps some of the money for themselves. My bank will reverse the charges, I want to report them so that they do not continue to cheat people.
