Company just founded in 2023,
Too high of a wage for customer service,
Product research didnt agree with medical knowledge i have,
No person met me on zoom,
Only interviewed on Teams messaging.
I had a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach...
All the waisted time 😮‍💨

Today a Sarah @Gila Therapeutics sent a text saying they got my resume' from Indeed and it was impressive. They want to invite me to a job briefing and interview. Remote Data Entry $35/hr. Are you interested? Who wouldn't be. #1 Red flag. Skeptical, I answered yes tell me more about the briefing. It then told me to download and setup Microsoft Teams and let them know when it's done. HR will brief me more about the company. I have not responded back.
Well, I do remember a year ago, I fell for this same scam only it was a different medical company - same industry field and same pattern of deceit. Hook up and start transferring sensitive information to them. They want to purchase my mandatory computer set up equipment. They emailed me a check and asked me to deposit it in my bank account to buy the equipment with. Told me to cut it out neatly and deposit thru my Mobile Phone. The check was from some Indian School! They ask for a link to you bank account and want to know if the check they sent went thru. Chase recognized the scam right away and the check was not deposited into my account. That's when I called them out and I have not heard from them again. It too was a high paying job 25/hr in some medical field I have no experience in.

it was all text on Microsoft teams all went smooth and I was hired right away. so the training start but pretty much they will just asking for personal info.

I'm in this exact conversation right now. I have been Googling everything and nothing makes sense. Her name does not produce a Google hit or an Ancestry hit. I ask where she got my contact info and I get a vague "sourced to the company's head department." I have a list of who I've applied with and this is not on that list. I think I'm going to go back through recently and see if I applied through some other scam company to get to this scam. Everything is "set your own schedule" and I've been playing along now I'm hired and I have a Teams meeting tomorrow at 8 AM for training.

Yeah, I think I'm going to blow this one off. There are way too many red flags and if it is real should I work for a place that operates this way? Not very professional for a bio-therapeutic company.

I traced my steps backward. Indeed application - for Tower Ventures, LLC - they are out of Memphis, TN but the reply came from WizeHire out of Royersford, PA

I was reached through email randomly one day saying your resume caught our eye and we would like to schedule you for an interview. I didn’t think anything of it since I have just posted my resume on indeed and linkedin. I was told to reach via Microsoft teams and did exactly that with a ID number. Then I was given basic information of the company along with a website that i knew from the start seemed a bit off but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Instantly an interview was scheduled along with question. Five mins later I was told I got accepted. Red flag number two was the fact the interview was done via message not through video call or video. Red flag number three was the fact I got accepted for the job offer almost instantly. Instructions seemed confusing yet straight forward not allowing questions to be asked within since they leave a question at the end for it to be answered yes or no. Then was told my hours by one person and told I had total flexibility by another. I was being tossed from one person to another. Although I almost believed it when the sent me a hiring letter and w2 request and a background verification papers and bank info for direct deposit to filled and signed and sent back. He first asked for it to be printed filled signed scanned and emailed back. When I told them I didn’t have a printer he said it’s fine digitally. He then asked when can I get it done by I responded by end of today he said well since it’s digitally u can have it done asap. That was another red flag for me. No one should ever be rushed. I then decided to take matters into my own hands and trust my gut and started asking questions such as when was this company founded, where it’s located and how I was found. All answers were answered in seconds but how they found me. Then I asked why this interview wasn’t done through video and they responded it’s strictly via chat. Then I asked who will I be be reporting to, what is your  management style is like, how will I be measured for success, and what the turnover rate is at the company. and instantly she responds You will learn more about the company once you receive the company handbook. I respond well I would like to know the answers for these questions now and she got dismissive and said This is the interview question and would like to focus on interviews with employee. Thank you and have a great day. Instantly I knew this was 100% a scam. I kindly denied the job offer and called them out for being a scam and there respond was ok bye. I’m so glad I trusted my gut asked questions before giving in. It just felt so really at first till I was able to find any information about this so called job not past employees or it even being on indeed or linkedin.
