On July 11, 2023, my boss, AD, sent me a text stating "Call came to my voicemail" with the transcript: "Hi this is Georgie I'm calling in from Complete ___ Tyler ER this call is for April Vance please let her know to call us at 469-949-6042 this is regarding the claim that was sent to him April's insurance thank you..." I checked my phone and had a missed call and voicemail from this individual, stating that a claim for BCBS got denied, missing a subrogation and workman's comp questionnaire, call my insurance and call her back. I called back and left a voicemail stating that AD was my emergency contact, billing is not a health emergency, and she did not have permission to contact ANYONE but me regarding my private health information. I also stated that there was no work-related injury or workman's comp claim. On July 21, 2023 at 1:10 PM, she called my phone and left another voicemail with the exact same script from the same outgoing number, 469-421-5753. She then called AD again, who asked me to come speak to her on his mobile phone. I asked him to hang up on her, but she insisted I speak with her. I asked her who she represented and she stated she was with "Complete Emergency Care Tyler". I told her no such entity exists so I knew that she is not calling from there - Complete Care ER Tyler. I asked how I could help her and she stated that she was calling about a Blue Cross Blue Shield claim. I informed her that I had already returned her call and stated there was no workman's comp claim or work-related injury, that she did not have permission to contact AD for billing purposes and to stop calling. She argued rudely that she was calling about a diagnosis made by "Complete Emergency" in December 2022. I told her that any diagnosis made by that facility indicating such a claim was made in error and was not my problem, to take it up internally, and that she would be reported for violating my rights to privacy. She continued speaking over me. At 1:41 PM I received a text from KG, an old neighbor, stating "some company just called my # about house insurance claim". I believe both of these phone numbers (AD and KG) were acquired by someone who had access to my health record and emergency contacts. I called Complete Care ER and they verified that there was no indication of a work-related injury associated with my Dx and they did not know a Georgie. Yesterday, I logged in to one of my credit card accounts and found I had two unauthorized transactions for several thousand dollars in Melbourne.
