Threatening legal action

I've been receiving threatening phone calls for months over an unpaid invoice from 2019 from the company Gateway Connect. When I questioned the validity of this the woman from the collection agency said they "had a recording of the authorization" and that if I don't pay in the next 24 hours they will take legal action. When I asked for written paperwork on what I authorized she said "your verbal consent is all we need". Stay far away from anything related to Gateway Connect!

About a yr ago this fake company called Gateway Connect called asking if i was the owner of the business. Said my husband is. She was very belligerent about asking if I could make decisions about the business, said yes. She said that my husband signed up with them, and it was time to renew. So I said "well I guess so". She never asked for a credit card. Talked to my husband when he got home that night, he said he never heard of the company, there for never signed up. He said it was a scam. So from tha day forward, been getting harassment phone calls, from the gateway connect collection agency. This is the same con artist, one in the same. She calls herself Susan, Lisa, Linda or whatever comes to her. I looked up "gateway connect" website. It's a total sham. I tried emailing, comes back undeliverable. Press login in, or register....nothing happens. Press the Facebook, Twidder, Google+ icons...nothing. Sign up for "newsletter"....nothing happens. Press "add listing"...nothing happens.

The phone numbers this female calls from is 1-866-343-2260 "gateway connect". 1-866-908-4107 so called "collection agency". They have 2 addresses, Champlain, NY & Canada.

So what if she has a recording of my voice, doesn't mean a stinking thing. You can say "yes" I would like to go on a cruise, but until I see a contract or some kind of paperwork, that "I" can sign, and or with payment to said company, your not getting a dime from me. Threats don't work with me, especially when I know I did nothing wrong, just answering the damn phone!! There have been plenty of complaints about gateway connect. Please someone look into this so called company. I have blocked both numbers, but still this sewer dweller keeps trying to call.

My business was initially contacted over the phone by this company, claiming that we had purchased an online listing through them. They said that we had signed up for a service that was free for the first year and for the second year there was a charge. According to them this second year was now up and that we owed them for the service. The first person on the phone explained the terms and asked if you wanted the service to end. Then she transferred you to a second person who worked out the billing.

I requested they send more information (including a copy of the initial agreement). They have sent only an invoice and a print out of a google search for my business, with no sign of proof of a contract. They have called multiple times since then, but still have not furnished the proof as requested.

I looked into their website, and at first it looks professional enough, but many of the links just return back to the page itself. I also looked into their address and it appears to just be a PO box.
