Individual claimed to be a sergeant/bond collector from the Lee County Jail system requesting payment of $1500.00; he claimed that a family member (who had been arrested for real) needed this bail money to be released. By the time the call was received, the family member had been already released without having to pay any money. Individual/caller/male insisted on having money transferred via Venmo, Zelle or any other platform. Based on caller speech, vocabulary used and tone it became clear it was a scam.
