I signed up for a Secret Shopper position. I was contacted by a Bryan Mansell (707-219-6738), who stated he would be my coordinator. He advised me that I would receive an envelope with a check to cover the shopping. This was the only form of communication with Bryan, as he stated the conversations are archived. Unfortunately, I provided my name and mailing address for the check. The envelope was received from a different person than Bryan I had been speaking with. There is a number at the end of my "letter" for James Whitefield (survey contact representative) 630-278-3735 and email of [email protected]. After much research, I found several articles of this type of scam, outlining the same scenario that is recommended in the letter. I also researched the Frost Bank in San Antonio TX and the check routing numbers even match!
