After viewing an ad for a horse trailer on Craig's List we contacted the seller and was given the website freedomht.com to obtain more information. (They only text.) The website was very well done with none of the usual red flags; however, the fact that it was just too good to be true was the only red flag we needed. We first contacted the local chamber of commerce and were told this company did not exist and we were not the first inquiry. We also looked on 'whois.com' and then went to the 'whois' tab and found out the website is only a few months old and is based out of Reykjavik, IS (Iceland)! In addition, the address is a vacant lot when you look online. Based on the website information, they entice people to buy sight unseen and pay for the trailer to be shipped! Another red flag is that the backgrounds in the pictures do not match; therefore, the trailers are in different locations when they imply there are on their lot.
