Fraudulent Debt Collection Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

- Blackstone, MA, USA

I received two calls/voicemails from individuals stating they are with Vital Processing Services, Pre Litigation Services. They stated I owe $2751.38 from a credit card I opened in 2010. It was stated a capital one as well as HSBC card services. They said the collection agency called me 71 times since 2017 and I ignored their calls. I stated if they had left a message I would’ve called them back. They told me Robo calls don’t leave messages. I asked them for proof on my credit report, as I truly don’t remember this card. They said I had to get my information from Equifax. (After the call I did log on to my equifax account and it says there is nothing in collections). They were very Condescending and told me all the legal fees are now over $7000. If i wanted to avoid all these fees I could make a payment arrangement over the phone or on their website. I asked them to send me proof before I make any such payment plan. They basically said no, I needed to do this with them first. She even mentioned about me not hearing anything for years because they don’t go door to door and “sit with you at your round table because you will get mad and shoot them” I was appalled at such a statement. She stated she is moving forward with my court case and in the state of Massachusetts, they can garnish my wages. She said “good luck” and hung up on me. If I do owe this money, I am in no way trying to get out of paying it. I just need more proof this is legit because I don’t remember it. I was given these names and numbers on my two voicemails and spoke with both individuals: Monica 888-985-4323 Ext 45 and Jake Coleman 404-850-9338
