Was contacted bye email from someone using the name Catherine Parker and invited to submit a preprint paper for peer review and publication. No mention of any fees was made. They then sent me emails saying that they had completed peer review, but the details about peer review had a different title than the paper I submitted, which is odd. Then I got an email from somone using the name Sophia Benet (same email address as before) with the attached invoice. I told them that I was unaware that payment was needed and that I wasn't interested, that I withdrew the paper. "Sophia" told me that withdrawal was impossible because "an entire team is working on your paper to publish on time." I've published research articles before and this is all entirely phony. I'm actually surprised I fell for it. Fortunately I have not and will not be paying them any money. I hope you will investigate because this kind of predatory publication scam is really bad.
