Type of a scam Employment

This company who claims to be called Fortuna BMC contacted me about a job i had applied for. Everything seemed legit but then i was asked to fill out the hire packet and being excited to work i didn’t think twice and sent in what they requested. Which was my photo ID , social and picture of my utility bill and looking back I’m so mad with myself cause a company wouldn’t ask for a utility bill. Nonetheless i sent the info. They were to do this “background check” Thursday and i was to start training on Monday. I kept emailing them Friday but got no info. Now today Saturday i wake up to all these emails from people who also applied and it’s saying the position was cancelled and now it’s fraudulent and I’m freaking out.

Was it an Indian (India) person that called you about the job? They call me like 10 times a day... i'm desperate for a job, but i just don't trust anybody calling from india... fear of this exact situation.
