The scammer posed as a legitimate website, selling a legitimate product that can be purchased at brick and mortar stores. Website offers larger selection of products. I made a purchase, and was notified that my product shipped. After a few days, I got an email from a "courier service" stating that my package was flagged as "suspicious," and if I paid them $1,000 they would ship it to me. If I didn't pay the $1,000, they were going to hand my package over to the DEA. After asking for clarification, I did not get any from the courier service. I contacted the seller and they told me they would handle it. A few days later, I get a response from the seller telling me that there's nothing they can do, and telling me to pay the $1,000 to the courier service. These items aren't worth more than $150, there's no way I would pay another dime. The seller is now not responding to my emails, and has yet to issue me a refund.
