I paid 4 payments over several months for a discord bot. They promised several features that would work flawlessly. They also offeredd website and discord hosting. They strung me along for months until they knew I couldn't claim a refund from the platform i found them on (fiverr) and that I couldn't ask for an investigation from my bank (chargeback, disputing and litigation.) I lost roughly $2000 usd. The hosting went down 25+ times in barely 5-6 months. The bot is non-functional. They have blocked further communication through fiverr and feigned ignorance recently after ghosting me for 3 months.

A person under @prime_treasure sent me an unsolicited direct message on Instagram after following my account, advertising that they knew a friend who could promote my artwork on Redbubble for me (they said they had previously used their marketing services). They directed me to inquire at +234 (907) 501-4592 on WhatsApp. The person I corresponded with said their name was Ellie. I paid for them to market my Redbubble store link via Fiverr (they had Affiliate Marketing listings there), but there were fees that kept coming in at their convenience and not per original advertisement. I made a total of five payments over Fivver via Paypal. The last one of which, they seemed in a great hurry to get their payment and told me to send them money via CashApp. I didn't have CashApp and convinced them to let me use Paypal, but they had trouble receiving the money on their end and cited strict country laws (in Nigeria) that prevented them from wanting to use Paypal in the first place. They insisted I use Friends & Family to pay, and actually this was the only option for them to receive their funds for their "service". This last payment I made using Paypal via my bank account. Ellie said to also pay them via Fiverr to see which payment would go through to them first (again, they seemed in a rush to receive their end of the bargain). So for the last payment, I actually was billed twice. It has been about 2 months since the first transactions occurred, and Fiverr's customer support refused to do anything retroactively about the transactions that were not backed by an actual service being delivered since it was outside of their terms of service.
