A company is calling and harassing my family saying they are attempting to collect a debt. The numbers they are calling are two fairly new numbers that I have never used nor they have ever been in my name or given out for any reason. This debt is not real, they cannot provide a company name. They say the debt is from an online loan company. They refuse to give any information. They are verbally abusive and threatening. When you question them, they hang up on you. They will not provide any information regarding their company or who this supposed loan is from. They say they will only take payment over the phone with credit card. They have never sent paper mail to show proof of the debt. There are many reports online that this company is a scam based on a phone number search. I called life lock, which I am a member of, and they confirmed this is not a legitimate debt collection company and there have many reports of them harassing people.

BOTH of these numbers are calling me my husband our family and my husbands EX wife!! They claim they have an account from an old payday loan---BIG ISSUE!! WEVE NEVER HAD A PAYDAY LOAN!!!!!!!

When those numbers are searched it comes up Northwest recovery or first recovery. They claim to know all our info. They need to STOP!!!! I've contacted the ScamPulse.com already on the 4707 #

AND the FTC!!

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I have been contacted about a supposed loan for the amount of $400. They request that I oy $438 for recovery fees. They do not read you the "this is attempt to collect a debt" and they are not able to tell me the exact date/location where this loan was taken out. They have all of my basic information including the last four numbers of my soc. They will not provide written documentation of the debt and tell me if I do not pay, I will be served papers. Most of the information is outdated or slightly wrong but close enough to make someone wonder. They are also very rude and will hang up on you if you ask questions. There is many complaints online stating basically the same thing for the same time frame.

Told my my name last 4 of ss # address and 2 different phone numbers, as well as last 4 of old bank account. Stated I owed a payday loan but would not tell me through whom. When I asked for them to mail me info, she got rude and stated I had not returned any mail that they sent. She stated there were 2 claims and will go to court. I told her again that they or the courts need to send me paperwork. She yelled at me then hung up on me.

These people call and say you took a payday loan and never paid it back and if you don't pay right now they will take you to court and you will go to jail and so on and so forth. They threaten and try to scare you into paying them money you don't really owe.
