Our BA flight ftom SAfrica was cancelled. My wife and I were automaticalky assigned different lengthy connecting flights ro get is home 2 and 3 days late. Desperate to find alternatice. Late at night. UK call centres all closed but found 24/7 BA number. +18666660225. Only when got confirming email realised that not BA - get you to book expensive alternative flights that you have to pay for with promise that BA will fully refund original tickets plus give massive compensation so seems to make sense. All they are doing is using your booking reference to see the same details of your existing booking that you can see so you think genuine with story that as different type of ticket have to pay and then get refund and compensation

I googled COPA airlines customer service phone number and came across these two numbers. I called both of them over the course of a couple days. Both sites had men who had Indian accents but American names. 1-855-838-4713 Rey Spencer and a Frank Hunt and 855-838-4113 had a "Jason" and a "Ted". Both claimed to be able to change my airline ticket, but were charging a steep fee. I gave "Frank" my credit card information and he sent me an email which looked suspicious to me-- which is when I hung up. I googled the number and came across a ScamPulse.com report about The Better Business Bureau published an alert on its website saying it has received multiple reports of misleading airline ticket booking sites and customer service numbers that are duping travelers.
