fraud??

I am being asked to send 500 to receive my money. Won't give me any details of the organization. I am suspecting fraud. He constantly refused to give me any information about the organization, FEIN, address, phone, etc. You want my money I want your information. What are you hiding?

Had someone IM me on FB that I really didn't know very well to begin with. Screenshots tell the rest (tried attaching 5 but not sure if it worked). Quite similar to the ones I've seen here, good thing we have this site!

April: Hey Julie, how are you doing Today at 2:16 PM
Me: Crazy busy working and exhausted how bout u
April: I’ve been doing fine just working’s all day and staying safe
I hope you have also gotten a notification on your mail about the FGHS program
Me: What’s that? What email adrs was it sent to?
April: It a new program going on, they are called Family Help and Home Care support program it’s a very good program they are helping peoples with sum of $80,000 and I saw your name on their list did you get anything from them yet?
Me: My name? I have no idea why I’d be in there. Where are you seeing this list?
April: They are selecting families name with Facebook randomly to help families selected, and i saw your name on their list when they came to my house to delivered mine that that was why I asked if you’ve gotten the notification yet, do you know their page link?
Me: Not trusting this exchange one bit. Pretty sure April was hacked.
April: No I’m not hacked, it’s me, I got the money from him
Me: Who’s him?
April: The agent I got the money from, I got his contact details with me when he came to deliver the money to me
Should I give you their contact detains now so you can text him and let him know you are ready to get your own money
Me: No. Sounds hokey to me. What income limit is there?
To qualify for a govt prog you have to fall within a certain poverty range
So yeah I’ll be denied. But TXS anyway
April: $2400 is the income limit I saw on their list
Me: Used to qualify for HEAP, cancer svs prog but not anymore
They must have old records. I’ve married into a higher bracket since then
April: Oh really, but I still saw your name on their list
Me: I think i exceeded it just before marriage anyway
April: Oh really
Me: If it’s this name here then they have old data
April: Oh okay
Me: and typically a govt agency would never show you someone else's name there are laws against that
but yeah ever since changing jobs I no longer qualify for any help which I still need so it's kinda stupid
April: I saw your name on their list when I was about to sign some papers when they came to deliver the money to me
You actually qualify for this trust me
Me: that makes no sense at all
April: Really lol
Me: no I'm not going to since I do not for any other progs the income limits are the same

Me: they rely on the federal poverty guidelines like all of the rest of these things. they have to, it's the law.

I was requested by Mattew Fred who stated he was with FGHS to send $250.00 via western union to receive a prize of $20,000 and a certificate. I had a feeling this was a scam. I refused to send my Driver License and pay the $250 fee to obtain the certificate. He also referred a so called attorney named Mr. Kelly Campbell. Glad I listened to my intuition.

I am receiving messages from a colleague from many years ago and they are sending me this information about govnt claims. They are saying they heard a driver tell someone I was next in the list and asking me if I have claimed my money yet

A random coop worker from a job like 3 years ago messaged me out of the blue and asked if I had gotten any "notification on your mail" about FGHS. I asked what that was and she replied with some government program for families, and that she got $50,000. I asked more questions about why they would choose me, and where the money is coming from to which she didn't really answer. She then sent me the M.me link (copied above) and told me to "inbox them right now". I didn't open it so I'm not sure what the link leads to.
