Received a message from a classmate checking on me (I just had surgery) and mentioned that she was doing great and enjoying her grant money. I didn’t ask about the grant money but she got back with me and asked if I would be interested in the grant money, too. That it would help with small business and home repairs, etc. yes I was interested. Because I believed my friend. She had been hacked. I was so stupid. I fell for it I am totally embarrassed. They asked for $2000.00 in iTunes credit cards. Which I did. I am so stupid. Please pass this information along to stop these crooks. I guess it could have been worse. I just feel so stupid. All of the transactions and conversations are on my message on my iPhone.

Contacted me through Facebook messenger with my grandmothers account. Most likely a hacker and scammer trying to get personal information.

A person named Jenny Parks contacted me by telephone. She did the initial intake for my information for this grant. She did not initially ask me my social security number. I was then transferred to a person named Ben Morgan. He was the financial officer. He's the one who would release the grant money to me. He then asked me to register with the state of Colorado because it's a federal grant, but the state has to approve it. He said you have to pay a fee of $240 to register with the state of Colorado before he could release the funds. This was a red flag and then I called the BBB. The amount I was being "awarded" was $9,500.

I have had 6 calls today about giving me a government grant, first grant was for $100,000 as the calls kept coming in the last on was for $9000

There are 2 different phone numbers they are using. They are 190-0900 and 626-513-2556 the persons name is Alex Rogers. I keep telling them that I know it is a scam, they will not take no for an answer. I ha one that a woman called instead of the man and she cussed me out which I cannot use the word she did on the internet and then she hung up on me. I told them I was reporting them to the BBB. The have called every hour on the hour. They have my name, address, phone number, and internet address. They wanted my visa card number or I could go to Walmart to pick up the grant

They call you and tell people that they are eligible for a federal grant

For the amount of $9000.00 then they have you to get I Tune cards or steam cards in the amount of $100.00 then they tell you about the taxes all together by time you are finished it cause you about $4000.00

Scammer hacked friends Facebook, told me she had received money through this Federal Government Grant. Gave me a number 1-512-793-8474 and we had exchanged text messages. Gave them my info, name, address, drivers license info, minus my social security number. They gave me a reference number, grant number, ticket number and a serial number.

Was called from someone that said my name was drawn to receive a grant that would not need to be paid back. All I had to do was send then $250.00 and i would receive $9,000. I told them to send me a check but if I wanted I could receive the money from Western Union after paying the 250.00.

Received Facebook notice from a friend stating she received a government grant and I should see if I qualify too. I could get $90,000 of free government money. I called the number and was told I would quality. UPS would deliver my order, all I need to do is to pay $2,000 to get $90,000.

Said I qualified for a grant that I didn't have to pay back.but and wanted me to go to western union and fill out application for federal reserve. Said I'd have to pay around 200 at Western union but they would pay it back.

Her name was Helen Jean Goni and she worked for the US Government .

But I got a messenger from a friend telling me about a grant that she received and telling me to contact this woman Jean. So I clicked on the link and there was a picture of a blonde woman (soldier) kneeling in front of a truck .

So I started talking to her she told me about a Federal Grants to all US citizens . And that I should answer her honestly ...in the meantime my friend is telling me to do this they are legit I can trust her .

But I have to give her 1000.00 dollars for clearence fees ...I ended up giving them $500.00 which is alot for me .I gave them my information my name a picture of my license my name address my marital status.

She was telling me she was going to check the Database to see if I am approved .

I did all of this ,in the meantime my friend is answering all of the questions that I had .

Telling me to trust her she's a good woman I sent the money to a person named Godwin Akakpo

That was the agent and in the city of Grand Junction Co.

When all was done I realized after I called my friend and she never heard of this and it was not even her messenging me .

They took her name and her picture and started to talk to me , and first personal then about the Grant .

When I realized what was happening I called the bank , stopped my ATM card .

I was so upset I could barely talk to the customer service at Webster Bank

I also called the fraud line and they basically told me the money is gone and thought it was funny .

I also went to the police and filed a police report .

Webster Bank told me to write a long letter describing this in detail I am not sure they can do anything to get my 500.00 back .

I am so embarrassed by this whole thing that has happened to me and I feel utterly helpless in what has happened. I lost 500.00 to these people who know what the are doing .Thinking I was talking to a dear friend of mine just makes me sick .

This person let on to me that he worked for the Federal Government Grants Division and he asked me to send him $300.00 and that in return I would receive $200,000.00 in 24 hour period and the UPS would be delivering it to me in person. He seemed so real cause he used the face of one of my family members to get in touch with me. Once I realized how desperate he was to get the $300.00 then I began to figure out that he was running a scam. He got no monies from me and I am so glad that I listened to my thoughts cause he could of taken all my money. He also stated to me that the $300.00 would be given to a charity in Nigeria and he called this place the motherless home. He sent me this name and once he thought that he had me he wanted me to wire the money to this person. Hassan Sheriff, ogun satecity, Sagaum Country Nigeria 23473. He did not accomplish what he sat out to do.

Phone call came in and per said because I pay my bills on time that I was chosen to receive $9,000.00 from the Government Grant and I would not have to pay it back. Gave Me a code number to give code #WW223 to next person I was to call to accept the money.

I called the next number 253-275-4275 A man answered and asked for the code # and asked me my name which I gave him Mary, and he said how would i like the money, cash, debt card or check in the mail and I said I wanted a check in the mail. He said to get the money I would have to send $250. that would be returned to me. I said I was going to call the BBB and he said go ahead and then call me back.

Called saying I had applied for a grant, which I do not remember doing. I remember looking into a grant but never applying for it. They had my name, phone number, address. They asked me to verify these, which I did. They asked if I wanted the grant direct deposited or by check. They explained that I did not have to pay the grant back and that it was from the Federal Government, they never specified how much it was for. They needed me to pay a one time sign up fee for a grant website account of $3.86.

I received a call from Charles Baker saying that I won a government grant and you had to purchase $250 prepaid card to receive it. The grant was for $9,000.00

A friend of mine messaged me on Facebook that I qualify for a Federal government grant. I contacted the lady she referred me to and inquired about the money. I had to send $2,250 in order to receive the grant. I wired the money and then was contacted back stating that I need to send an additional $3,000. I don't have any more money to send. I had already taken out a title loan and borrowed money from friends to pay the initial payment so I couldn't send them anymore. After speaking to the BBB, I know realized I have been scammed and will have to find a way to pay back the title company and my friends.

Received phone call from "Felicia" saying she was with the Federal Government. I told her to stop calling me. I hung up after exchanging words. This is the 4th call from this number, among calls from other numbers. Back in June/July, my husband received a similar call and he fell prey by giving them $150, in addition to both of our DOBs & SS#s. Since then, he has been hounded by multiple calls. I have also received multiple calls.

I received a phone call from a Chris Black telling me that I have been randomly selected for a $9,200.00 Non refundable Government Grant that I need to call 315-203-3487 within 30 minutes I did call and the person claimed to be a Government official that I was selected to receive this money for recession releaf and wanted to send the money on an Itunes Card. When I started to ask questions the phone went to a busy signal
