Farescan Hoax!

Sent me a confirmation for my flight, but never booked it. I didn’t find out until the night before. When I called to complain, the customer service rep hung up on me and then they hung up on me 7 more times (guess they read my number)! Kayak should drop them! And you should never use!

I got my Refund for the full amount! - File Dispute with bank directly!
The only way to get refund from these guys is to contact your bank (credit card company) and ask them to file a dispute.
Your bank will deal them officially and make sure you get a refund. I got my refund this way!
Don't believe these guys (billing cycles etc is all fake). Just contact your credit card and inform them that you want to file a dispute as Exploretrip/fareScan is not refunding your money.
Don't delay, just file the dispute ASAP!

It was the greatest mistake I have done by booking my tickets from fare scan while booking the tickets they charge you immediately but while refunding they tell you they need 2 to 3 billings cycles. after that, they tell you that the airlines did not process the refund to them and ask the client to email the airline after being informed about the mail which I have put across the airline regarding the refund. Fare scan doesn't revert to any of my mails from then on. I feel they are some fraud company also I am unable to understand how are they
are still authorized for booking tickets. Don't fall for there cheaper rates because after you book your tickets you are doomed to get scamed by them. There name should be fare SCAM instead of fare scan!

WE TRIED BOOKING A FLIGHT FOR $110.
WE ENTERED OUR CREDIT CARD INFO AND IT TOLD US IT WAS UNABLE TO BOOK AND THAT OUR CARD WASN'T CHARGE.
WE ENEDED UP BOOKING DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE.
THE NEXT DAY WE GET AN EMAIL FROM "FARESCAM" FARESCAN THAT OUR FLIGHT WAS BOOKED FOR $155.
THEY CHARGED US WITHOUT OUR CONSENT FOR MORE THEN QUOTED.
WE WERE DOUBLE BOOKED BECAUSE OF THESE AMATEURS.
IT WAS A HEADACHD GETTING OUR REFUND WHICH IS STILL PROCESSING. AND THEY SAY 7-14 DAYS.
WHAT COMPANY TAKES THAT LONG TO REFUND?!?!?

It's like playing a lottery. If your flight goes on time, you save several bucks. If it gets canceled, you lose big time. I had to request a refund for my canceled flight. Even though Turkish Airlines and Alaska both offered full refunds, FareScan was only able to return about 60%. And I was told the refund would take about 3 months. If it's not a scam, then it's unfair business practice. Stay away

This company should not be allowed to represent the airlines. They are a scam. They have not refunded my ticket (full refund) per TAP policy and per their own website policy. They have violated their merchant agreement with Visa & MasterCard and this is the only way to receive the amount they with hold due to not providing a service which they have (or the airline has) cancelled. These people are crooks and thieves. I have unsuccessfully been trying to get my due back for 6 months now. They should never be allowed to operate under this or any another airline ticketing consolidator name. If you find yourself in the same situation, do place a complaint with the airline you were set to fly with as well as the US department of Transportation.

Farescan is FRAUD
Heartless. Awful. Complete SCAM! I purchased a ticket through Farescan for a flight with TAP airline. Called the airline, they advised me that they are offering a full refund, but since I purchased my ticket (PNR: R5U8JM) through Farescan, they must contact the airline's helpdesk and the refund will be given immediately. The airline went as far as put a comment on my reservation that the refund must be requested. I sent all the information to Farescan. The company is refusing to issue a refund. TAP advised me that it is illegal and to let them know that I am a US citizen. I sent a copy of my passport and another request. Farescan is taking advantage of people in hard situations due to COVID -19. If I don't get a refund and response, I am going to turn to social media and Better Business Burrow. Shame on them.

Absurd cancellation charges, not following their own rules mentioned in their website for cancelling.

Anyone who has faced harassment from them , please file a complaint with U.S Department of Transportation , they helped me to resolve the issue with them.

There is a very simple form by them where you fill the details and submit. They got back to me within reasonable time period. Trustpilot is not allowing me to post the direct link here.

my flight was canceled for coronavirus and turkish airline offer free rescheduling or full refund but this scam company called farescan charge me $711 for rescheduling my tickets. they are doing illegal activity with passengers who bought tickets from them.

I booked Eva airlines through Kayak, then Kayak navigated me to Farescan. Two months later I found out that EVa cancelled flights and refund 100%. I then asked Farescan to refund 100%, but they refused. At first they want to keep around 500$ as non refundable taxes. I did not agree, then they reduced to around 250$. I rejected and told them I wanted 100%, otherwise I will sue them. And I was serious about that. At the same time I also told Kayak that they should be responsible for this as they allow Farescan advertising on their website. They did help me as well. Now I received my full amount. Please DO NOT use Farescan, they are not good. They will do your head ache. Please tell them you will talk to your lawyer , they will refund to you. As they know that they will loose, and more importantly they will be infamous and it will impact their turnover.

Will not give me full refund for a Turkish Airlines ticket I booked through them that got suspended due to corona virus, scammed me by tricking me into agreeing for them to charge me an extra $99.99 for booking but I just realized they took it out of my refund as well. So basically they charged me $200. This is a complete scam. I will be contacting my bank to dispute this

This is a SCAM company. My flight got canceled. Airline company said that I am eligible for a full refund but I have to get it done through agency. FareScam is refusing to process refund referring to their internal systems that have nothing to do with the airline rules. Never deal with this company. I am working from home now, and have a ton of time on my hands. I will be filing complaints with every agency I can find. If you see this message, please do the same. Here is a good start:

paid online for flight tickets with Turkish Airlines through a third party company called Farescan and I received a phone call next day from this company that I must pay more money to select my seats otherwise I won’t have my tickets reserved. I told them I want to cancel the tickets and the representative said that it is more than 24 h and I am going to lose money paying for ticket taxes if I cancel so I did not have other options than pay the extra money to confirm my ticket! The reviews of other people are working me since they lost their flights and money.
