Overcharging scam

Used them for the cremation of my mother's remains. They advertise a low price then jack up the price with a bunch of inflated fees like $150 for mailing and $245 for what was supposed to be an urn but was actually a black plastic box that was not even closed when it arrived. The box probably cost about 10 cents to make. It took them over a month to get the remains to me. They were supposed to send tracking information as they refused to allow us to pick up the remains but never did. I had to call and ask where the remains were and then instead of getting a call back they magically appeared in the mail a couple of days later. I truly wonder if they are even my mother's remains. Total money-making scam ripping people off during a family crisis. Shame on them.

I called the number listed on the website for information on cremation services and was referred to what was supposed to be a local funeral home. They emailed me the paperwork, and the real funeral home with a very similar name picked up my mothers body from the hospital. I completed the paperwork, not realizing it was not the actual funeral home, and returned it via email. In the meantime, the real funeral home contacted me and we went in to finalize the details. When I asked if they received the paperwork I emailed, they didn’t know what I was talking about. I showed them the email, and was told that was not them. Today, which is 3 days since I sent the paperwork via email, I received an invoice from the scammer requesting that I sign the invoice and provide a credit card number for the charges. The only reason I was probably not taken by them is that they were slow to respond. They are impersonating an actual funeral home and trying to get money fraudulently.
