Today I got this email seems suspicious as the sender is [email protected] which is a personal email and it says sent to other undisclosed receipients. I’ve worked in payroll and as a store manager and this is not how hiring is done anywhere I’ve been. It will not be a mass email. Nor will they send it from their personal email. In addition, you will be interviewed on a local platform like Microsoft office or Zoom not telegram which I’m sure is some new site they’re using to scam and do dirt on.

Here is the list of the available positions: Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, Customer Service, Front Desk, Administrator, Management, Graphic Design, IT Specialist, and Data Entry.

This is strictly an online and work-from-home job, the working hours are flexible, and you can choose to work from anywhere of your choice. Our start payment is $30.75 per hour and $15.75 per hour for training. You will receive payment either weekly or bi-weekly via direct deposit.

Names used were Bryan Odell and Gracie Thompson. They email you to message hiring manager on Signal and then ask interview questions tell you that you got the job and that they're going to send you a check to buy materials.

I received the same letter through Gmail also from Mr Randy Taylor advising me to download Skype and contact a Mr Carl olander. because I had seen similiar job scams before advising me to download telegram or the what's up app and to contact such and such person, i researched those and found them to be scams. so I figured this was also the same type of scam. so I looked it up and sure enough I saw that it was per the person above me posting the same. i did not get on Skype nor send money but thanks to all of you who let us know beforehand that these are scams to avoid all the pitfalls. I also am amused at the part where she said as soon as she said she had contacted her lawyer, he disconnected Skype! lol.

The hiring email sent me an email to message their HR lady on zoom. She only wanted to do text interviews and I requested video to make me feel better. She asked the questions which didnt seem to personal but then stopped responding when I "got the job" and asked to do a video call to see if they were real.

I was contacted by email regarding my résumé on indeed.com. The email referred me to an online interview with the hiring manager for TEK International through Microsoft teams. I joined the online interview with a Patrick Huffman, who informed me that they had several openings, data, entry, office, assistant, data analyst. Then he asked me to choose a position that sounded great for me. I chose the data entry position. He told me that that had already been filled and that, according to my résumé, I would be a perfect fit for the data analyst position. I thought this was weird as I have never done any data analytics. He proceeded to inform me of specifics for working with the company, rate per hour, medical benefits, and time off. He then wanted to know who my bank was so that the accounting department can confirm , it would accept my payroll. I did give him the name of my bank, but no other information. He then proceeded to let me know about the equipment they would send for me to work on. He also instructed me on the training process and that I would start the training with a supervisor tomorrow morning. At this time, I was feeling a little skeptical, the pay and benefits were a little too good to be true. So I started conducting my own research on this company and could not find what I was looking for. I came across some information on scampulse.com and came to the conclusion that this was a scam.

Received an email to the address I use for LinkedIn asking if I was still interested in a job I didn't recognize. The email, from "Rohan **********" seemed to actually come from a real company called MSRCosmos. Emailed interview questionnaire for the job, then a day or two later said they were offering me the job (never actually described the job in any detail other than that it was for video editing and was remote). Emailed an offer letter from "Maria Campise, VP Human Resources" asking for home address and driver's license, then asked for full name and name of bank so they could email a check, which I was to print out, deposit, and use to pay for "gadgets" (computer equipment) needed for the job. The payment was to be sent via Apple Pay to this phone number: (318) 233-9233, sent to me via text message from a "Nick ********" at the number (585) 224-5962. They also asked for screenshots to confirm the deposit and the payment. The scam should be obvious: had I deposited the check the money would have vanished from my account after I sent the requested payment and there of course would be no computer or job. I'm not sure if MSRCosmos is a legitimate company being hijacked by these scammers (***** *** ***** are both listed as employees on LinkedIn) or whether the whole company is one big front for fraud, but I would not do business with any of these people.

This company is fake. They reach out to individuals that have been on INDEED searching for job opportunities. They send an email offering you a job and to schedule an interview. The interview was conducted on Microsoft Teams via the CHAT features. They conduct an entire interview that is very convincing. Once complete they email you a job offer letter and W4 form. Upon my research, I saw that somebody was recently scammed by them. Once they filled out the forms they stole their money out of their bank account. None of the employees are able to be found online, including the "Group General Mgr" Mr. Raj Anantu. All of the reviews online are very convincing, but they are all fake. Not a negative review in sight which was my first red flat. Here is the "company" website https://te*************l.net/ I will attach the website I found that confirmed that it was a scam. I was texted about a job offer for a remote data entry position with Setra Group AB. They offered to pay me $28.75 an hour. I did an interview that was conducted via IM over Telegram. They sent me a website for Setra Group and it is a legit company. It's a Swedish company and they said they had a United States office in Wilmington, Delaware and they were opening an office in Richmond, Virginia in November.

The man I was speaking with had the same name and picture as the man on the website as the HR director so I initally believed it. He told me I got the job and the next day sent me a W4 form, code of conduct, job offer letter, and an I-9 form. I used Docusign and filled them all out and gave them all of my personal information.

He told me a check would be sent to my house the next day to cover the cost of a laptop computer, a printer/scanner, and a time management clock. I received the tracking number from this man and it was to be shipped through FedEx. It was supposed to be delivered by noon on the 26th of October. At 11:09am on the 26th, I received a message from this man saying:

"UPDATE : The company's database has just been updated stating that all packages mailed out yesterday encountered technical issues with FedEx. It has been resolved. We are sorry for the delivery delay of the check for your working and training materials.

We are making the delivery for tomorrow morning. Once more, we are sorry for any inconvenience."

This was my first red flag. I told him no problem and I'll reach out to him the next day. The 27th of October, I messaged him and asked if it was a scam. He assured me it is not. The package was now being delivered via UPS and I should receive it today. That was my second red flag. I did receive a check for the amount of $4982.23. I was instructed to bring it to my bank, deposit it, and I was to go back to him and send him a receipt from the teller. Once the funds were approved, he would send me to the "vendors and retailers we're affiliated with". Before I left for the bank I asked him what the vendors were, and he couldn't answer. He sent me a list of what I'd be purchasing, but still couldn't answer where I'd be purchasing it from.

I then told him that on the website his email address was listed differently and asked if he could send me an email from the email address on the website. Here is the text chain from that:

Me: On the setragroup website, your email is listed differently. Would you send me an email from that email address?

Him: I do not make use of that right now as i am currently working as the Hiring Manager of our United States office.

Me: The website doesn't show any United States office.

Him: This is only because our branch in the United States has not been officially commissioned.

Me: I'm sure you still have access to that other email. Would you please send an email from that to ease my mind?

And despite my efforts of contacting him again, he has not responded.

I did not bring the check to my bank and I've frozen all my credit accounts. I've tried to attatch the screenshots of the whole text chain but it will only allow me to up load one. I have all of the text chain, emails, and the check and envelope it was sent in.

Received text from a Recruiter claiming to be "Patrick" tied to "Helmets to Hardhats" which I was working with the gain employment or begin a new trade due to my Retired US Army Veteran status. They sent me information about Data Entry position and wanted to schedule an interview.

The interview was to take place on Microsoft Teams. I felt unsure about this but the person tells me this will be a text-based interview and that is it encrypted. Then a "Michelle Castro" messages me on Teams and says I have to wait for 10-20 min while she sends my responses to the "hiring board for review" and they will tell me if I get the job or not. Then they inform me that I got the job. So I asked about the Offer Letter and where it goes.

They said they will be sending money so that I can buy office supplies
