My sister contacted the scammer looking to commission a painted portrait. The scammer charged her $15 (though I think my sister was too embarrassed to tell me it may have been $30; the scammer is charging $30 for this service now) and used one of my sister's photos to create a rendering. The scammer claims that the art is original and hand-drawn, but the product is very low quality (pixelated) and made using AI. The scammer is submitting their clients' likenesses into an AI database to have it spit out "paintings" from an algorithm trained on 19th-century impressionist art. The false advertising and lack of consent to submit photos to an unknown AI are concerning.

While I believe that $15-$30 for a painting is too good to be true, a lot of people are buying in. My sister's purchase was public on Venmo, and through her I was able to see other public purchases the scammer's clients have made. She's made upwards of $1500 on this the last month.

The scammer targeted a very vulnerable client of mine, stated that their name was Elon Musk. Told my client that they loved them and wanted to get married to them. My client had given them 700$ worth of prepaid cards which they stated were funds they needed to book a plane ticket to come to them and get married.

Maryam Khann from Florida was selling clothes from facebook. My son’s wedding is in December. I ordered clothes for my daughter in law,my daughter and for myself.

Maryam Khann showed me pictures of original designer and send me not even replica, it’s the most cheapest and low/poor quality product from Pakistan. The colors and textures is completely different. Upon asking why this is so bad and not original, she was yelling at me for complaining. I lost my money and wasted my time. I at least want her to get caught and stop selling wrong and Haram business.

As showed a completely different picture than what I received. The shirt was a thin cheap feeling material, not the advertised sweatshirt and the pants were of the same poor quality with pleats which the ad showed to look like denim with a flat front. The clothes were much larger than the advertised measurements. They agreed to give me a refund but the return shipping was going to cost almost as much as the actual order cost.

Company employee posted on local Facebook pages of company needing additional help. I was directed to download Teams app and to follow link to hr representative David Chitwood. We only texted through app, but received job offer after answering questions. For job offer I had to provide pics of social security card and drivers license. When he stated I would have to purchase equipment using a check they would he then switched to using my credit card which they would pay off balance so I could use to purchase required equipment. During the conversation he required credit card and bank information. I then refused the job.

The scammer I met on Facebook. Inboxed him in messenger. (Bomba). I invested 75 dollars for 1100. I sent it through cash app bition. Then supposed to have collected my money from another scammer and it end up to be 10,000 dollars supposed to have been mailed to me. Then had to pay a fee of 300 to have it shipped to me. They went to a Chase Bank to withdraw the money after failing through cash app. They the scammer claim some stole his phone and had to open another profile and that was 300 dollars then another 200 dollars to have it shipped. Then the UPS driver charged 100 to put it on the truck and it got delayed supposedly. Then the head lady in charge charged 80 dollars. On Facebook I agreed to take a survey and get a free doorbell camera for free, shipping only $8.95. I took survey, gave credit card info and received the camera. Since that time I have been charged hundreds of dollars on my credit card for items and programs, and clubs I never heard of or got in the mail. Comes on email and goes to junk folder. 9/30/24. I spoke with them last night on the phone. David, Nix Power is the company. He offered partial refund when I told him I was going to report him he offered more money for me to not report. They just keep charging things to my card from Florida, California and other places. I closed my charge card at the bank last night. I am a senior citizen and feel like I have been scammed and am sure others are, too. Please help.

Found a nice used horse trailer on FB, seller sent a walk through video and answered all questions. Asked for 25% down payment to hold, gave me an address in Farmington NM. Traveled to this location which was a junkyard. No person, no trailer. Don’t send money via Zelle! Filed a police report. Not getting a dime back, this guy was slick and even provided “satisfied customer”references. They were all in on the scam. I had been looking at this trailer’s ad for prob 2-3 months.

I ordered 6 Christmas pajama tops. The company says I received them. When I reported I did not. They sent me a tracking number. The tracking number keeps coming up error, try again.

- Pass Christian, MS, USA

While scrolling Facebook, i was presented with an advertisement about a self setting christmas tree with customizable lighting. I placed my order Nov 16 and have yet to recieve any further correspondence, aside from the order reciept presented by paypal. I have attempted to reach out to the company multiple times via the email provided to no avail.

I got the private site from a tapped on it and started the process of an application for Covid 19 grant money thinking it was legit. In the end my application was approved but I needed to send $1000. To be eligible to win $50,000 that was my red flag. The scam came under the name of Agent Gayle Frank, supposedly working for the BC Gov.
