The person texted me about a job where my car would b advertising their company and sent out checks with instructions . And they would constantly b texting about deposit the check and give them information told me to go to Wells Fargo bank and when I did the bank said the check were fake and to report the person plz don't fill out any forms about advertising with your vehicle

A popup appeared on my computer in September of 2023 saying I had a virus. I called the number to Centex IP support, who claimed to work for Microsoft. I was in a bad situation at the time with my landlord and wasn't thinking this through. I gave them my bank number (they said they didn't take credit card info). They never did use that info, because I found out it was a scam, and I told them so in the many e-mails I sent to them. I got Microsoft to remove all the apps Centex installed on my computer. To this day, they still keep trying to contact me, although I've repeatedly told them to stop harassing me. A few months ago, they called and told me my e-mail was compromised. I keep blocking their phone numbers. Yesterday, they called and I told them I was Angela's (me) sister and that Angela (me) was in the hospital. I took down one of their phone numbers. 888-512-0217.

Adoption of a Westie puppy. The pup was supposedly in Cincinnati later I found it was in Tennessee. All of a sudden money was asked for a transport crate then even more for delivery insurance. She wanted and the delivery transport company (express logistics) wanted payment in Apple Cards. Very demanding pulling on the heartstrings of adopters.

Person used Palmetto State armory advertisement for a sale made it look real good. I made a small purchase had some question in mine, but had purchased from them before after I made the payment. It showed the name Jen Bauer instead of Palmetto American armory at that point, I realized I probably got scammed.

I attempted to purchase a product I saw on Facebook. Then, on the same day, I sent them an email stating I wanted to cancel my purchase as I did not think it would be a right fit for me. They did NOT cancel my purchase, in fact... They charged my card 29.99 every six days for 3 weeks until I finally called my bank and cancelled my card (which is a pain in the you know what when you have things set up on auto pay) and started the dispute process. I won my dispute thank God and all is the money they took was credited back to my account... But what a headache!! This is DEFINITELY a scam. I sent them several emails, with no response and then even tried to call the phone number they have listed... Which of course is a Google number so no one answers it. Major scam!!! I'll be sure to be a lot more careful next time, that's for sure.

I gave Debbie Torres Ragdoll 2 400.00 apple gift cards totaling 800.00. I next day i was told I needed an additional 800.00 to rent a crate which would be refundable. I reminded Debbie she said the original 800.00 including delivery. She will not address the problem or a refund.

I came across a sale for a 9 ft christmas tree on facebook. I watched the video a few times and then clicked the link to order. I was redirected to an ordering website. I selected the tree i wanted and inout my information and selected paypal for payment. I did not think to go and look to see if I received a confirmation in my email right away. A couple of weeks went by and I had n ot received the tree. When I went back into my social media account to see if I could find the add that I had liked and saved it was no longer there. I realized I had never received a confirmation for shipping from them either. I had to go into my paypal and find the purchase and the customer service email. I emailed them and they responded but were very vague. They stated that according to their records my item was delvirered and to check with my local post office or my neighbor to wsee if they signed for me. I am very close with all my neighbors and they would have told me if they signed for the package. I took the "tracking number" that the customer service said was my number and went to post office. As soon as I started readin the nujmber the postal worker stopped me and said that is not our tracking number. they suggested it may. be a scam or that the company had used a third party delivery. At that moment I realized the company never had stated what delivery service they would be using. The scam company also sent a link to track my package but when I clicked it it sadi I had to downlaod an app to track so I did it for free but then it asks you to pay money to access the functions of the app. I stopped there and really just understood that this whole thing was a scam.

I was trying to buy a vehicle on Facebook that I found in a group that I can no longer find, but my husband can. At first I was skeptical but he said everything is transparent so I went with what was being told to me. Was told that there would be no fee for transport of the vehicle to me. Then I received emails from the supposedly delivery agency. This is after I sent the original $200 for the down payment, I get the bill of sale sent to me through messenger and it says on the bottom that I have to pay another $350 for insurance for delivery. So I did pay that so that it can be delivered. But I had to pay through chime or gift card and only certain gift cards. Stating that all payments are refundable. Then I get emails from the delivery agency. They want another $550 from me saying that they got stopped and needed it for lading and city permit. I said I can't do that I didn't have it. Even told Phillip Miller and he called me with a very distinct accent not like it should sound like with the picture on his profile. Very unprofessional saying he will hang up and not call me back if I didn't stop crying and he said he will contact the delivery agency to try and figure out something. And when I finally got a response back from the delivery agency it was well what are we going to do now, unprofessional as well so I think velocity express agency is a scam as well. Don't get it confused with velocity express, two completely different.

The business in texas was / does advertise new VW 4 cylinder motors for sale.

The business owner organised freight for delivery to Australia.

I ordered and paid for the motor in September of 2024.

To this date nothing has arrived.

The freight company used is also of dubious nature.

The whole process has been a scam.

Dear Better Business Bureau,

I am writing to report a potential employment scam involving an individual claiming to represent a company called "Black Isle Studios." Below are the details of my experience:

I initially received an email from someone identifying themselves only as "Michelle," using the email address [email protected]. Michelle instructed me to contact an individual on Discord named Samuel Zheng, whose handle is zhengonline. While this request did not raise immediate concerns, upon reflection, I found it unusual.

After contacting Mr. Zheng, I provided my resume and portfolio, but no other personal information. A few days later, he informed me that I had been offered the position. However, I was told I would need to be shipped equipment for the role—equipment that I did not believe was necessary based on the skills and qualifications I had described during our communication. Specifically, I was told I would require a Safescan TA-8020 Employee Time Clock System, which would necessitate providing my fingerprints.

The job offer was allegedly from "Black Isle Studios," a company that, according to multiple sources, has been defunct for some time. To verify the legitimacy of the offer, I attempted to contact the provided phone number, only to find that the line was disconnected.

Given these red flags, I believe this may be an employment scam designed to collect sensitive personal information. I am sharing this information in the hopes of preventing others from falling victim to similar fraudulent schemes.

Aquino Loan Assistance INC (Pampanga, Philippines) is a SCAM!!! They will ask for 10% of your loan amount and ask you to send them to them, as they said, this will verify your information in their system. You will be brought to a group chat and other will be able to get their money but all of them in the group chat are all part of the scheme. They will show that other will be able to get their money and other too, but if it is your turn, they will say there's an error and you need to deposit another 20% of the loan money. that is all part of their strategy and scheme. They will send you all their registrations and office addresses to show that they are legit. If you ask them to return your money coz you dont have enough money to send, they will refuse saying that it is in your wallet already. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS.
