I posted item on FB Marketplace . Someone responded immediately but asked me to verify I was”real” by providing google code and sending back thru text . As this did not work on my phone they asked me to find someone elses phone to use . I didn’t know how common this was … my first time selling . So gave husbands . It worked . They said they’d be to my home in 1/2 hr with cash to pick up item . An hour later no show so I send messenger request to see what the delay was . No responses . No longer able to see their FB page . I deleted / blocked contacts from 5 people that also responded within seconds of my post . Removed item from Marketplace .
