Poor porch stair repair work for $500 cash

NAME Collins NY posts on FB Amish porch decks and buildings. I reached out to hire for a porch column and stair repair with hand rails for safety. A quick fix was done with blocks to lift the stairs much higher than a step tread and no handrails. Took $500 cash for a $20 in materials to do a cheap, temporary fix I could have done myself. I took out a level and he used more blocks to try and level the stairs. Very very poor quality work. For $500 I could have bought all new wood and materials and rebuild the stairs myself. Fully took advantage of a woman and took my hard earned money. Doubt this work would have been done if a man hired him. I know my land and property, there is NO excuse for how this work was done. It is not justifiable.
