This person emails non-profit organizations saying they want to make a donation, and then mails a check, and requests detailed information about when it is received and deposited. As soon as possible (so that it's before the check is rejected), they notify you that their bank made a mistake and they trust that you, an honest organization, will return their overpayment before they could face any financial consequences, so that you will send them the money before you realized the check did not clear. So now the non-profit is out $7,000.
