During checkout, the company offers “Gift Box Protection”, which misleadingly suggests it covers replacements or protects the shipment. However, when I inquired about my missing order, they claimed this protection only applies to the box itself—not the actual product inside. This is extremely deceptive and is not clearly disclosed at checkout.
To make matters worse, even the box itself is missing, meaning that by their own policy, I should qualify for a resolution. Yet, they are refusing to abide by their own stated terms and have denied a refund or reshipment.
This practice feels like a bait-and-switch, charging customers for a misleading protection plan while taking no responsibility when something goes wrong. Their responses have been scripted and dismissive, failing to provide an actual solution. I originally purchased these items for an upcoming trip, and their lack of accountability has now left me without what I paid for.
Eternal Muse should be held accountable for its misleading “Gift Box Protection” policy, which is not clearly disclosed at checkout. Customers should not be misled into purchasing a protection plan that only applies to the packaging and not the actual product. Additionally, if the entire package is missing, the company should honor its own stated policy and provide a resolution.
More transparency is needed in how they present their policies, and businesses should not be allowed to offer a paid protection service that provides no actual coverage for missing orders.
