They tried to get me as well. [email protected] was referred by Chris Miller [email protected]. I received an unsolicited email out of the blue offering saying "he couldn't help me, but he knew someone who could".

I received an email from Chris Mill at Empower Recruiting that they did not have a role that matched my background, and had I considered hiring a recruiter to work on my behalf. He recommended Michael Howard from The Career Advocate. I spoke to “Michael” multiple times on the phone and he seemed very professional and knowledgeable. He said he worked on the basis of a $5500 paid retainer. I signed a simple contract and sent a check via FedEx. The call completely stopped and the emails became very sporadic and vague; nothing of what we agreed to has taken place. Now he will not respond to calls or emails.
