Scammer posted in a university group asking for students for a job opportunity with the UN World Food Programme claiming to be Kenth Mattias Larsen, a real person who works at the UN. The duties were to become a humanitarian assistant to transfer donation money and supplies to those in need. The scammer asked the target for name, phone number, email, and eventually a scan of the passport or government ID to verify identity for hiring. After the hiring process was complete the scammer presented the target with a check for mobile deposit, then requested $1000.00 be sent to "someone in a medical emergency."
