Received two FedEx envelopes with 2 separate checks with directions to deposit into my account for being a silent shopper & doing surveys for several stores, including Walmart.

I applied for a car wrap and received the check. Deposited in the bank and after days of processing it clreared. I transferred the money to cash app to pay the business then hours later my bank contacted me saying the check was fraud. I reached out to cashapp but they said the transaction was complete and nothing they could do.

I was approached through email about a job opening that matched my resume. I was told to reach out to their hiring manager “Mark Jordan” to inquire about a Graphic Design position. I reached out to “Mark” and went through an hour and a half (Skype messaging) interview. The questions asked were in depth and didn’t show much sign of fraud, but when I went further into researching the company, I soon found out that it was fraud, and an elaborate one at that. The next day I was contacted (through Skype messenger) that I was selected for the position. They offered a high paying hourly wage and promised to send “working materials” including a lap top and software to complete my tasks. When I started questioning the legitimacy of the company, “Mark” called me through Skype Audio, and it did not sound like a professional, let alone a hiring manager for an international company. They supposedly have a home office in the UK, and one in the US. I then asked for a land line number for the company (to speak with whom ever would become my supervisor) and they gave me a bogus phone number to call, that no one answered. They were trying to get me to sign a direct deposit form, as well as an offer agreement that seemed highly skeptical. I never sent them any of my personal information, but the scam was so in depth that it was hard to tell if I was passing up an actual opportunity. They even refused to tell me exactly what my duties would be as a Graphic Designer with the company, stating that I needed to be hired before they would go into detail. In order to be hired, I was required to send over personal info. I declined, and they have ceased all communication.

I worked for this business. If they mess up shorting the money they give you, they pull it out of other employees paychecks to pay you the rest. Always shorting people hundreds of dollars. Some of the managers got put on the servers tip pool so that the servers would be paying them their hourly in which the establishment made up the difference so they didn’t have to pay them.

They are sending packages to my home saying that I have to check the box and also that I have to Rebox the items and send them to my local fedex or UPS OR POST OFFICE NEAR ME

I was able to look up the company and I had received emails from more than one person and one of the contacts had a union stamp on the bottom of his email I was able to look up the union I could verify their location in California the actual company itself is based out of Switzerland it’s an engineering group for the railroad company so it made sense that it was union and some of the benefits however it has been rather suspicious since then first they wanted to send a paper check and I told him I couldn’t do that and then they were going to send it through an account and I did fill out a W-4 in and some other government forms it did seem legitimate so they already had my information from those and I was planning on setting up direct deposit so I didn’t think about giving them any information as a bad sign in and actually since then they have paid both for my previous credit card debt and a previous phone bill in an attempt to get me set up for office equipment however they also had me buy a gift card to purchase software after they had cleared my Chase account and this is where it gets fishy because the money w[censored]d off that gift card and they kept trying to get me to exchange it for another one and I mean it already seemed fishy on buying gift cards in the first place but now I’m worried because they also were trying to purchase my office equipped my cell phone and iPad under my name through the Verizon account that they cleared I don’t know so far I haven’t lost anything but I don’t know if this is a scheme that I’ve never heard of

they offer me a work from home job an said i would get paid after 30 days took my id ss i signed papers had packages sent to me an when it was pay day they kicked me outta site an wouldn’t answer phone!

A person by the name of William Carter, from TaskUs company, sent a text message to me stating that their recruitment team reviewed my application online for the data entry clerk position. The interview is conducted through Telegram and was asked to add @patrickTaskus. A Patrick Walker comes on the chat and has me introduce myself, explains the job and what I would do, shares the company website with me, then has me answer 10 questions. Once completed, he asks what bank I use, tells me that I got accepted and begins explaining more about the job description. Explains that I would need to find certain supplies (Macbook, certain data program, etc) and that they will supply certain supplies and needed my address to send it to me. Never asked for money, just wanted me to return back the next day to continue the briefing with the secretary. I never gave out any further information- only my name and address.

I was contacted through text message by someone claiming to be Sheila Melinda from the company CGG where she told me she saw my resume online and asked if I’d be interested in a remote customer service position paying $35/hr. She then had me download Microsoft Teams which to my understanding is a very popular website used in the remote world. I then was asked to send a code through Microsoft Teams and got in contact with someone claiming to be Dechun Lin who is listed as an employee on the official CGG website, so I assumed it may be a real opportunity. After my “interview” which consisted of typing answers to questions about my work history, experience, and things of that nature he informed me I was hired and asked me for my full name, email, home address, and cellphone number. I did not give anything other than my full name and the state that I live in, and explained I would not be comfortable sharing such personal information without having proof this was a real job opportunity and not a scam, especially when I had never even talked with anyone over the phone or on a video chat. I have yet to receive another message, and whoever is posing as Dechun Lin has not been online since I messaged them telling them I would be sending an email to the official CGG website, and reporting them as a scam. I do have all texts and messages sent from both “Sheila” and “Dechun”.

Four transactions from my bank to my cash app to someone on cashapp that i didn’t make.

I was approached regarding a data entry/customer service job offer. The original email stated based on my resume I qualified for the position. Said to download an app called Signal and to text a specific number for further information. I checked the company website and the company seemed legit so I proceeded. I started noticing grammatical errors but brushed it off since it was over text. But everything was rushed, I was sent an online form to fill out and was told I had 15 minutes to do it. They said they’d pay for the software and equipment needed since I’d be remote. Then the offer letter was sent to a completely wrong email address which was another red flag. I was able to the call the company in the morning via the phone number off the website. I was told it is a scam and they’ve been getting calls about it. I did more digging on the website and they position that I was being offered is not actually a position the company is offering right now.

It was supposed to be a casting call for BMF a TV show and when I got on there it was basically like to get you to sign up so that you can move forward through the agency and I did

You had to set up initially with $99 and they will take $40 every month after that I’ve been trying to get in touch with them to cancel but they are no longer contact sing me they have all of my information I had to fill out an application online

Hired as home office employee and use accounting software to manage track costs on projects.

I was emailed by this woman named Lisa George who was offering me a job as a data entry clerk that sounded a bit too good to be true. She had me sign an employment offer letter and everything. Then she wanted to move to telegram to talk and walked me through the hiring procedures. She emailed me a check to buy office supplies of $1900 the check never went through and my bank even charged me a fee. I contacted my bank and they told me the sender had insufficient funds. When I contacted her about this she ghosted.

The man who runs workhorse is a professional scam artist. He hires landscape workers, telling them they are w2 employees, withholds taxes, and then at tax season tell employees they’ve been self employed the entire time. He also doesn’t pay workers overtime which is illegal in MN.

There was a remote job posting on Facebook from a Kathy Maxey when I messaged about it I was told to download the Telegram App and was given the "HR Contact" https://t.me/JasonAverbook to conduct the interview. During the "interview" they they explained that they would provide all equipment and I just needed to provide my bank information so they could track my expenses LOL. I have attached some of the main screen prints from the conversation so you can see the type of information they were requesting.

The scammer said that he was a manager for a manufacturing company and asked questions about work history. The way he spoke "Do you understand" and only reply okay or yes. He asked for name mailing information to send me a check to get materials. After it was over I did research for a couple hours and I block him on the telegram app and blocked the person that sent the text about the job below.

I received a text message from a Janet Edwards saying she saw my profile on EDD and was interested. I was immediately given an interview by Richard Smith on Skype via chat and “hired” on the spot.

This company reached out to me via Text Message, saying they received my Resume from Indeed, and that I needed to install Telegram for an interview. I immediately got an interview with the Vice President of HR Tony **********. After a quick interview, I was told the information was sent to the head office and to wait for 5 to 10 mins for a response. Got the response back that I got the Job. Tony explained that they would send a check that I would deposit into my bank and use it for equipment and software purchases to set up my home office. When confronted with questions about legitimacy, he could provide nothing other than a response of "This is 100 percent real and legitimate"
